FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta maintains that his team should be awarded three points for their match that failed to kick off at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega a week ago.The FKF Premier League newbies were set to host the record league champions in Kakamega but a last-minute letter from the FKF Transition Committee canceled the game after Gor protested the decision to take the match to Kakamega County. A letter signed by the committee’s head of secretariat confirmed the postponement of the game on matchday with Talanta already in Kakamega for the duel.The decision to take the match to Kakamega was arrived at as Gor Mahia was then banished from using either Nyayo or Kasarani Stadia after the damages witnessed at Kasarani Stadium during the team’s league match against Vihiga Bullets in February. The rules say that a match can only be postponed when a notice is given 72 hours before the stipulated kick-off time. The Transition Committee was communicating with Gor Mahia on the side only to inform us of the decision to postpone the game on match day.
