After again faltering in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title race, Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano revealed that he is not eyeing favours from opponents to land the league.Kakamega Homeboyz who are currently second on the log table by virtue of an inferior goal difference to log leaders, Tusker have daunting matches in their remaining three league games.Nzoia Sugar derail Tusker’s title chargeThe Bernard Mwalala-led side have the Ingo Derby against AFC Leopards and a return clash against FC Talanta who are one of the three sides to beat them this season and will close the campaign against an unpredictable Kariobangi Sharks.Matano noted that he is not expecting favours from other teams as he added that the title race is still wide open and will go down to the wire.“We are doing our best to ensure we win the league, we are not depending on anyone or our opponents to help us win the league.The race is still on until the final game of the season, no one is yet to win the title. We are now on equal points and we will go on and on until the last day,” said Matano.Matano remains the last coach to win a trophy for AFC Leopards after bagging the Shield back in 2017 and will be eager to see if Ingwe get one better of their rivals this weekend.Tusker have two games remaining till the end of the season with Mathare United who are already relegated initially part of their remaining fixtures.Captain Mieno calls for focus among BrewersMatano however bemoaned the missed chances in the game against Nzoia Sugar with the Millers also fluffing their lines on a number of occasions.“Football is a game of chances, if you get your chance you score if you don’t take them you cannot win and that is why we drew against Nzoia,” added Matano.
