Dunga on why he has struggled for game time in Japan

Kenyan international Ismael Dunga has struggled for game time since being shipped out on loan to Kamatamare Sanuki but is looking to cement his position in the side.After a challenging start to life in Japan with Sagan Tosu where he failed to find the back of the net in his debut season with the club, Dunga was loaned out to Sanuki back in February.Dunga delighted after first start for Japanese sideIt took the lanky forward two months to make his first appearance for the club and made his maiden start for the club in the barren draw against Tegevajaro Miyazaki a fortnight ago.Dunga opened up on why he has not been featuring regularly for Sanuki as he noted that he is looking for self-introspection and conditioning his body to adjust to the league.Kenyan forward finally makes debut in Japan after four months“As with any player, it is important to look backward and improve the condition for starting in the starting lineup. Take care of your body, adjust with practice, and make the coach want to play me in the game. The condition is improving day by day. I want to give more,” added Dunga.The former Tusker FC forward only has three appearances for Sanuki under his belt this season and has amassed a total of 77 minutes in the games.The 29-year-old is hoping to become a regular starter for the club in the remaining games of the season and set his sights on a win in their next clash against Kagoshima United.“I was in the starting lineup last time and the conditions are getting better. I’d like to play a match every week and give it more. It’s difficult to get game time, but I’m ready. Next is home. It’s a confrontation with the top players, so I definitely want to get three points. I’ll raise the conditions to be a coach’s choice,” Dunga told the club’s official portal.
