Following a wretched season that saw their wheels come off in the second leg, KCB forward Derrick Otanga has promised fans a better showing next campaign.2022 has been a challenging year for KCB as they have won only four games after a bright start to the season that offered hope to fans after coming close to landing the title last season.KCB admit to struggling with confidence in poor runOtanga conceded defeat in claiming their first-ever league title as they are mathematically out of the title race with three games remaining till the end of the season but sent a message to the club’s fans.“As things stand there’s no way we can win the league but we will try as much as possible to win the remaining three games and see where we will finish at the end of the season.I want to tell our fans that this wasn’t our season but we tried our best and we will come back strong in the next season,” said Otanga.The Bankers finished runners-up last season, losing the title to Tusker after finishing just three points behind them but they have fallen off the pace this season as they currently sit eighth on the log.KCB coach Solo blames fatigue for current predicamentKCB assistant coach Godfrey Oduor revealed that their clash against relegation-threatened Nzoia Sugar FC will not be a walk in the park as they will need to be at their best to get a positive result.“Nzoia is a good team, the fact that they are fighting relegation doesn’t mean that they have been a bad team, it is a team that we will play against knowing that we will need all our energies and concentration,” said Oduor.
