David Orem and Alex Juma were on target as Bidco United overcame Wazito FC 2-0 in an FKF Premier League match staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.Heading to the game, Wazito were seeking to make it two in a row after the win over Nzoia a fortnight ago while Bidco were out to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Kenya Police.Wazito were forced to make a change just before kick off when captain Johnstone Omurwa picked an injury in the warm up. It resulted in reorganisation with Eli Asieche coming on for him, Brian Musa was redeployed to the heart of defence where he partnered Dennis Nandwa. The late changed appeared to have unsettled Fred Ambani’s charges early on as Bidco started the game strongly. They had a chance on goal in the third minute but Zamu Adisa did well to deny Emmanuel Mogaka. Next was Jacob Onyango in the ninth minute but his free header went over the upright. Mogaka had another chance in the 15th minute from range but Adisa did well to parry it for a corner.United continued to trouble Wazito’s rearguard with Adisa the busier of the two keepers. His opposite number, Brian Opondo was barely troubled and was a spectator for the better part of the opening stages of the game. The hosts’ first chance on goal came in the 27th minute when Levin Odhiambo forced Opondo to pull a superb save from his well-curled freekick, Wazito were awarded a corner and from the delivery, Michael Owino headed just over the bar.United thought they had taken the lead in the 30th minute when Eric Gichimu rose high to head home a David Gateri freekick, the second assistant referee however had her flag up. Wazito were forced to make another change just before the interval when Levin hobbled off injured, he was replaced by Dennis Sikhayi.Four minutes into the second half, Wazito had a great chance to break the deadlock when James Kinyanjui raced towards goal before unleashing a shot, Opondo on Bidco goal did well to deny him.The visitors had their one on one chance in the 59th minute but Adisa did well to block the shot for a corner and from the resultant corner, halftime substitute David Orem rose high to score against his former employers.Wazito responded by making two changes. Erick Otieno and Curtis Wekesa were introduced for Tyson Otieno and Erick Otieno. Bidco had an opportunity to double their tally in the 70th minute but David Gateri’s effort from an unmarked position went wide. The points were secured in the 75th minute when Alex Juma went pass Adisa before slotting into an empty net.Wazito starting XI: Zamu Adisa, Rooney Onyango, Dennis Nandwa 33.
