Nairobi City Stars players and technical bench are counting losses after thugs made way into their dressing room at Kasarani Stadium during the first half of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League match against Gor Mahia on Sunday.The thug(s) made away with cash to the tune of Ksh 94,050 as well as 13 phones belonging to players and technical bench members of Simba wa Nairobi.Only the home team, City Stars, was affected with up to 13 phones stolen.City Stars players might have left the play area for the halftime already dejected after Gor Mahia equalized with minutes to the break, but a rude shock awaited them in the changing room.According to a first account narration, the players noticed that their bags had been tampered with immediately they got to the room and a check confirmed their worst fears, with the assailant(s) leaving the window ajar as they leftThe unprecedented incident saw the kick off for the second half delayed by over five minutes as the team’s management sought to establish what had happened.More to follow
