Kakamega Homeboyz wing wizard David Okoth has been named the club’s April player of the month.Okoth was on top of his game during the month as he plundered home five goals in four matches and consequently, he aided the club pick six points.The frenetic flanker began the month with a brace when Homeboyz shocked four-time Kenyan champions Ulinzi Stars at Bukhungu Stadium in the first game the club played during the month.He found the back of the net in the subsequent match against the 2009 league champions Sofapaka at Kasarani Annex and would go on to score a potentially the goal of the season against the same opponent at Bukhungu Stadium in a game that ended in a 1-1 scoreline. The former Nzoia Sugar attacking midfielder wrapped the month with a goal in the 2-2 draw against first timers Kenya Police at the Kasarani Annex. “I can not thank the organizers of this award enough for it goes a long way in appreciating the efforts the players put in on the pitch.
