Wazito FC came from behind to beat Posta Rangers 2-1 in an FKF Premier League match staged at the Thika Sub-County Stadium on Saturday afternoon.Heading to the game, both teams had lost their last assignments and were keen on bouncing back.Posta Rangers started the game more positively in search of an early breakthrough. They created a couple of half chances but the best opportunity came in the 8th minute when Joshua Otieno found space on the left side of the area, he unleashed a shot which was saved by Wazito keeper Zamu Adisa. Adisa was forced to come off his line severally to pick long searching balls from Posta defenders.Wazito’s first real opportunity came in the 12th minute when Eric Otieno raced through the left before squaring the ball into the area, Jairus Adira reacted fast to block Tyson Otieno’s connection.Posta’s pressure paid off in the 16th minute when Timothy Otieno gave them the lead. His first attempt was saved by Adisa before he fired home on the rebound. Curtis Wekesa has two quick chances to reply two minutes later but he failed. His first attempt hit the goalpost before his header moments later went over the bar.The visitors got the leveler just before the half hour mark through Eric Otieno. Adira had a moment to forget as he failed to gather a seemingly Wekesa feeble shot and the striker pounced to fire home.The comeback was completed in the 39th minute when Wazito were awarded a spot kick after Timothy Wanyanga handled the ball in the area. Tyson Otieno stepped forward to convert for a halftime Wazito lead.The start of the second half was balanced as both teams went all out in search of goals. Wazito’s main threat was Curtis Wekesa and Eric Otieno while Timothy Otieno was the main dangerman in Posta’s forward line.Posta had a good chance in the 58th minute but substitute Sammy Meja fired straight into Adisa’s waiting arms.Posta started to run the show after the half hour mark. Vincent Wasambo, Jackson Dwang both came close with some long range shots which Adisa did well to deal with.Tyson should have made it 3-1 in the 87th minute but he shot straight at the keeper.
