Billy Horschel earned himself a milkshake and a new trophy for his efforts this weekend.
The 35-year-old Floridian shot an even-par 72 in the final round on Sunday to win the 2022 Memorial for his seventh PGA Tour victory and first since the 2021 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, where he defeated Scottie Scheffler, 2 and 1.
Horschel made just four bogeys over the four rounds at Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, with three coming Sunday on Nos. 6, 12 and 17. He added a birdie on No. 10 and an eagle down the stretch on the par-5 15th for a four-shot win over Aaron Wise.
