Despite being honoured as Manchester United’s player of the season, David De Gea has been left out entirely out of the Spanish national team squad. Even though the former Atletico Madrid youngster is a fantastic shot-stopper, the current La Furia Roja boss clearly has other ideas about what his goalkeeper should be.De Gea’s most recent appearance for Spain came in October 2020. Enrique’s comments now place serious doubt over whether the Old Trafford hero will be included in their squad for this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
