Furious Ken Kenyatta calls for changes after Talanta walkover

After dishing out a walkover against title chasers Kakamega Homeboyz, FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta has called for changes in the football hierarchy in a bid to save the game.The reigning National Super League (NSL) champions failed to honour the game after their players made good on their threat of not turning up for the game with reports of delayed salaries being the reason.Olunga begins quest for first Qatar league title against Al-WakrahKenyatta noted that for the sport to prosper in the country, football structures need an overhaul as he lamented the easy points dropped in the clash against Talanta.“We have to change the football structures because the sport has a lot of fans but some people are here for personal benefits. If everything is transparent then our football will be better.I haven’t yet achieved what I wanted but for now, there’s nothing I can do. I’ve been caught flat footed and I’ve been forced to give away crucial points and I’m not happy about it,” said Kenyatta.The former Ushuru FC tactician also failed to confirm his future at the club beyond the current season, intimating that he could only talk about the present.Kenyatta added that he did not know the whereabouts of his players before the Homeboyz clash as he turned up for the game but his charges did not make it to the venue.Dunga MIA as Kenyan forward features in the US“I didn’t know the whereabouts of my players, I can be the coach but my players are grown ups and everyone has their own lives. I and the players obviously knew there was a game on Sunday according to the league fixtures.I don’t know why the players did not show up, the office should provide answers as to why the players did not come for that game, it’s not my position to answer that,” added Kenyatta.
