Coastal Heroes cry foul after suspension from NSL

Mombasa based outfit Coastal Heroes have been left baffled by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Transition Committee’s decision to suspend and relegate them from the National Super League (NSL) after failing to honour three matches.According to Heroes they had submitted reasons for failing to honour their two games against Shabana FC and Vihiga United and cited the league being stopped due to a court order in their clash against Mwatate United.Greek side interested in Abud OmarHeroes Team Manager Kenneth Juma revealed that they are bewildered by the decision to relegate them from the second tier as they had concrete reasons for failing to honour their matches. “I do not know what criteria they are using to relegate us, we did not play due to a court order and after that case we were reinstated back to the league and we played Muhoroni.We do not understand how we have been relegated because the court order was stopping the league for seven days and there were two games we had not played easier with a reason and they agreed that the reasons were valid,” said Juma. ##NAJAVA_MECA_6447543##In a letter dated Wednesday 8 June from the FKF Transition Committee Head of Secretariat Linda Oguttu confirmed Heroes relegation from the NSL. “Reference is made to the above subject matter. The Leagues & Competitions Committee of the FKF Transition Committee is in receipt of match officials’ reports involving your team and Shabana FC, Vihiga United FC and Mwatate United FC. From the reports, it’s clear that the matches were not played for reasons attributed to your team after you failed to honour the matches.
