Cost cutting Vihiga Bullets forfeit Wazito tie with relegation long confirmed

Relegated FKF Premier League side Vihiga Bullets have decided to cut their losses and will not honour today’s league match against Wazito FC at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, Mozzart Sport can report.Bullets’ drop from the top tier was confirmed last Sunday when they lost 4-1 to Kenya Police at their Bukhungu backyard. The result, coupled with Wazito’s 2-1 win over Posta Rangers sealed Bullets’ fate meaning they return to the second tier after just one season in the top flight.The team has now opted against traveling to Nairobi to play Wazito who have settled for the playoff spot. On Saturday, coach Juma Abdalla appeared unsure as to weather they would travel to Nairobi.”We have trained well all week, I have already named my traveling squad and we now wait for further directions from the bosses. Even though we are relegated I am ready to play and hopefully we end the season with a win. It will be important for us as we wait for further directions from the football authorities, ” Juma told Mozzart Sport on Saturday.We end the season with a home match against Vihiga Bullets. We were ready to play Wazito but yesterday we were informed that we would not travel. We are at home waiting for further communication on next season’s plans,” one of the players told Mozzart Sport.The match was scheduled to kick off at 3PM.
