Benfica confirms Nunez exit, but who will leave Liverpool in order to fund this transfer?

The transfer of Darwin Nunez from Benfica to Liverpool is done. The Portuguese club officially announced it’s players departure to England, and the Uruguaian striker is on it’s way to Enfield for the medical, with the official announcement from the Reds expected in the next day or two. But, the business is not over yet, at least for the Liverpool executives. They are yet to find a way to facilitate this deal, as 100 million euros, a record breaking sum for the famous club is not something they take for granted at Enfield road. Being one of the greatest club in the world doesn’t always mean you can just spend money wihout a backup plan (see: Everton), so the Reds are looking to get their money back by selling some players in order to regain those 100 million and then spend some more during the transfer window. And there are four or five players who can generate cash now.✅Official: Benfica have confirmed Darwin Nunez’s transfer. It is confirmed that he would like a new challenge (and a better wage), the Reds made sure they got a quality replacement for him in recent transfer windows (Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz), so the only thing which remains unknown is the price. Bayern Munich (as his only suitor) made two offers (below and around 30 million euros), and they were both rejected as derogatory, considering player’s qualities. The fact that Mane is on the wrong side of the thirties and that he has only one year on his contract and could walk out for nothing come 2023 didn’t stop the Reds from even being arrogant, as they demand around 45 million. If they end up getting let’s say 35 or 40 million, that would be around 1/3 or Darwin’s transfer. Are you ready for some numbers? But the problem is, Liverpool has too many good strikers at the moment and will get another one, so Minamino needs to go if he wants some quality playing time. Reds are looking for around 20 million, which would be just under 10 million of pure profit, considering how much they paid for him in 2020. And they won’t have any problems selling him, since there are suitors ready, from Southampton (was there on loan), Leeds and Wolves to a suddenly rich Monaco (sold Tchouameni for 100 million).21.45: (1.60) France (3.80) Croatia (7.25)Neco WilliamsWhen you have Trent Alexander-Arnold in your squad, every other right back knows he won’t get much playing time. And when you find out that Calvin Ramsay will probably sign as well, it’s time to go. Neco Williams is a Liverpool youth product and had a good half of season in Fulham on loan, so he won’t have much problem finding another club, Fulham included. The Reds are looking for around 17 million for him.Senegal coach pushes Mane to sign for BayernNat Phillips Liverpool see Phillips as ideal for selling, since the back four is a crowded as the attack. The 25 year old is in his prime years, he was very successful for Bournemouth last season, as he was there on loan and helped them come back to the Premier League. The Reds are looking for around 17 million (same as Williams), and the team for which he played for last season is the main candidate to buy him (same as Williams). There is also a possibility for another loan to Bournemouth.Liverpool says farewell to hero Origi and tragic hero KariusAlex Oxlade-ChamberlainHe began to play in such a young age that many forgot he is only 28 years old. He is totally out of favor, because Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are top options for coach Jurgen Klopp when Mane or Salah can’t play (or needs to be rested). Liverpool would be OK to sell him for around 11 million, especially since he has only one year on his contract. There will be suitors for sure (West Ham, Southampton), and he might even get a transfer abroad. There were talks of him coming to Manchester United, but it’s hard to see Eric ten Hag starting his ’revolution’ at Old Trafford with a player who cannot breakout into Liverpool’s starting 11.
