In his first ATP main draw match, Great Britain’s Ryan Peniston pulled off the greatest win by far of his young career as he toppled Casper Ruud, the top seed and recent French Open finalist, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2) in the first round of Queen’s.
“I can’t really believe it, it feels like a dream,” he said. “I didn’t get much sleep last night thinking about this match. It doesn’t feel real.”
