Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala says there are a lot of positives to pick from the 2021/22 campaign despite the fact that his team lost the league title to Tusker FC on goal difference.Homeboyz, who sat at the helm of the log for the better part of the season tripped in the closing stage of the campaign allowing in form Tusker to leapfrog them and defend their title. Both teams were tied on 63 points but Tusker were feted for a superior goal difference.##NAJAVA_MECA_6453982##It is a season that Homeboyz punched above their weight before the campaign eventually ended in tears after the Robert Matano-led Brewers staged a comeback to win the title, Mwalala however chose to focus on positives, he termed it a season full of lessons for his troops.“Even though we did not win the title in the end, this has been a good season for us, a season full of lessons both for me as the coach and the players. They know the winning path and have a strong mentality instilled by coach Matano who is a serial winner. We will try to compete again next season if we will be together,” he concluded.
