Kenyan defender Nabi Kibunguchy has revealed that he is enjoying his stint with Minnesota United and also opened up on his most comfortable position.The former University of California, Davis defender was the 18th overall pick two years ago by Minnesota but was shipped out on loan to the team’s developmental side, Sacramento Republic.Kenyan midfielder misses action as Oulu suffers cup exit in FinlandKibunguchy is currently with Minnesota United II in the newly formed league dubbed Major Soccer League (MLS) Next Pro for reserve sides of teams plying their trade in the US top tier.The 24-year-old defender admitted that he was more than delighted to be playing in front of his family who reside in Minnesota adding that he is more comfortable being deployed as a center back despite featuring as a midfielder and right back.##NAJAVA_MECA_6453944##“I was so blessed to play there. Not many people can say they played for their hometown team, especially your first year as a pro.… A great opportunity for me to play in front of friends and family last year and just be in an environment that I’m used to.I’m more comfortable there. I can see the whole game.… I know when to go, when to step and just communicate the line,” said Kibunguchy.The lanky defender has played nine games for Minnesota United II in the MLS NEXT Pro league this season, and played in all three games for the senior side in the U.S. Open Cup.Kibunguchy is also taking time to borrow a leaf from experienced centre backs in Michael Boxall, Bakaye Dibassy and Brent Kallman during his time with the senior side.Kimani disappointed with Bandari’s fourth place finish“I asked them about the position in general, what they see in the game.
