Bidco United set for a major surgery after underwhelming second season

Bidco United will beef up the squad in its entirety after a disastrous 2021/22 season, coach Anthony Akhulia has revealed.United, who finished 15th in the just-concluded season avoided being dragged into the playoff spot occupied by Wazito by just two points. The team managed seven wins all season a tally that does not sit well with Akhulia who led the team to the top tier in 2020.##NAJAVA_MECA_6454010##The tactician is already thinking of next season and has promised a massive reinforcement of the squad. He says his team will beef up each and every department starting from goalkeeping all the way to attack“We will need to beef up all the departments in the team all the way from the goalkeeping to attack. We need a keeper, we have to beef up the central defence department, we need fullbacks this is because we did not defend well last season, we let in very easy goals. We need midfielders, right and left wingers and a number 9, we did not score enough goals last season so it is strengthening the entire team in preparation for next season,” the former Bidco United midfielder told Mozzart Sport.Curtains come down on FKF-PL:Tusker crowned champions once againKCB finish with a 3-2 win over BIDCO United#SundayLive pic.twitter.com/q1gLTFKS8c— Citizen TV Kenya (@citizentvkenya) June 12, 2022 Akhulia believes that lack of competition played a major part in his team’s lackluster performance last season as some players got comfortable in the end. He intends to bring both young and seasoned players to beef up the squad.“I think my players got comfortable and we cannot afford another disastrous season. there was no competition in the squad and the players relaxed and we were left fighting relegation we have to get rid of that laxity by getting the right players to bring competition to the team. We are going to bring in experienced and young players, we have to blend to ensure that we have the right balance,” Akhulia added.
