Leeds looking for more fire power in Paris

Leeds waited too long to secure the Premier League safety, and now the Yorkshire club is doing all they can to secure new players as quickly as possible in order to be prepared for the next season, where they don’t plan to fight for relegation. Coach Jessie Marsch lured his ex players from Red Bull Salzburg (Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen) but he needs more fire power up front. One of the main reasons why Leeds found themselves in the relegation troubles in the first place was the lack of forwards. Their best striker Patrick Bamford was injured and missed almost whole season, and Leeds do not want to make the same mistake twice. That’s why they contacted Paris Saint Germain.Arnaud Kalimuendo you say 39 seconds video and he’s the best player ever #lufc pic.twitter.com/NCquMT9X73— BARNEY 🦚🄺🄿 (@BarneyLUFC21) June 16, 2022 The Parisians, as we all know, have a bunch of expensive, overpaid reserves who are surplus to requirements, but don’t want to leave, and even if they did, nobody wants to buy them, as they cannot afford their wages (Icardi, Herrera, Drexler, Sarabia). One of PSG’s most important tasks this summer will not be to just buy new players, but to get rid of a few as well. Having already spent 46 million on Aaronson and Kristensten, and with Marc Roca from Bayern waiting to sign for 12 million, Leeds will not look to buy Icardi for example, but they want to sign a youngster – Arnaud Kalimuendo. The French U21 forwards played his last two seasons in Lens on loan (32 games last season, 12 goals) and he is seen in the club as a good replacement for Bamford, who will lead the line in 2022 as well.Gini (in the) bottles: Former Liverpool midfielder is the Ligue 1 flop signing of the seasonLeeds have already submitted a 20 million euros offer for the Frenchman with a Congolese descent and they hope that PSG will agree on it, since the Parisians have to offload somebody, even the youngsters, as they will try to balance the books, especially after La Liga filed a complaint against their financial dealings. Apart from that, PSG are already famous for buying ’complete’ players in their continuous quest for the Champions League trophy, and not regarding the excellent youth prospect they already have in the club. That’s why it looks more likely that Kalimuendo will be forced to build his career away from Paris, just like Christopher Nkunku and Moussa Diaby.17.00: (2.30) Leeds (3.25) Wolverhampton (3.50)
