Even thou Inter Milan didn’t lose Serie A title due to problems in attack, they have decided to go heavy with strikers for the upcoming season. Nerazzuri had the most productive attack in Italy, with 84 goals in 34 Serie A matches, with only Napoli coming close with 10 goal less. For example, new champions AC Milan scored only 69 goals during the season winning campaign, but on the other part of the city, they believe that two more strikers will get them their title back in 2022. Those two strikers are Romelu Lukaku and Paolo Dybala. The Belgian striker is all but agreed and is expected in Milan for medial soon, while Dybala is on a brink of agreement. With midfielders Kristjan Asllani (Empoli) and a free agent acquisition Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Roma, Simone Inzaghi will have a stronger team and a title is a must. Problem is, they need to offload a lot of players in order to balance the books, especially when the ‘wage eaters’ Lukaku and Dybala arrive.United are the only club ‘on the horizon’ for #InterMilan forward Joaquin Correa at this moment in time. So, other players will need to go, and plenty of them, since they are not so worth as Lautaro, and there are already three on the list. The most valuable is surely Joaquin Correa. The Argentinian was Simeone’s whish and he was brought form Lazio, but failed to make a significant impact. In 26 Serie A appearances – which largely came from the bench – he scored six goals and registered one assist. Newcastle is the only club interested to pay some money for the forward at the moment, but only if their top target Hugo Ekitike fails to come.Inzaghi signed until 2024 with a 50 percent raise and a packed gift – Lukaku arrives for the medicalsThe other two players are Henrique Dalbert and Valentino Lazaro and the mission of director Beppe Marota will be to sell them and at least break even. And that will be a massive challenge. The Brazilian was brought from Nice in 2017, but failed to fulfill expectations, and so far made only 24 appearances, and registered three loans – to Fiorentina, Rennes and Cagliari. Neither team wanted to buy him and Inter need to get at least 8.5 million euros, just to avoid making a net loss for Dalbert. Valentino Lazaro is even worse, since he was sent on loan almost immediately after he was bought from Hertha for 22 million in 2019 and he played for Newcastle, Borussia Monchengladbach and Benfica since, but just like Dalbert, nobody wanted to keep him. His contract runs to June 2024 and Inter must bring in 8.4 million from his sale. A tough task for Inter directors.(2.25) CORINTHIANS (3.00) BOCA JUNIORS (3.60)
