Ambitious Uganda Premier League club, Wakiso Giants have appointed John Luyinda as their new head coach on a two-year deal, the club has confirmed.Luyinda joins the club from Police FC where he was serving as an assistant coach prior to his appointment at Wakiso. The club has been working with interim coach Alex Gitta. His contract has an option of a further year.“Wakiso Giants is delighted to announce the appointment of John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda as the new Head Coach of the first team on a two-year contract from next season until June 2024 with an option to extend for a further year,” read the statement.The tactician on his part termed the appointment an honour. He added that he took up the job as the team’s ambition matches his own as a coach.“It’s a great honour and privilege to be appointed coach of this highly ambitious club and ready for the huge challenge. He added that the tactician, despite being youthful has the necessary skills to thrive.
