AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has disclosed the reasons why the club settled on Albert Wesonga as the new team manager.Earlier on Thursday, Ingwe released a statement confirming the appointment of the former Nakumatt FC, Mt. Kenya United, and Dandora Love FC team manager as the club’s new manager he replaces Tom Juma who will now solely focus on his role as the club assistant coach.##NAJAVA_MECA_6490278##Wesonga is a seasoned football administrator who also served as Mt. Kenya United team manager at some point and according to Shikanda, his experience and contacts within the game is the reason the club settled on him. He also believes that Wesonga has the requisite talent identification and development skills that will be of great value to the youth team.“We also looked at his experience in management and also the contacts that he has in the football family which will be of great value. This includes in talent development, recruiting young players to bring them into our youth team,” Shikanda told Citizen.On his role in the team, Shikanda said Wesonga will be a link between the team and the playing unit and also ensure that all the team’s logistics are handled well.“His roles will be; linking up the players and the office and the technical bench and making sure that the team prepares well in terms of early bookings of stadiums and everything that is required in the stadium is worked on in time.
