NSL: Two matches on the cards on Sunday

Only two matches will be played on Sunday in the National Super League (NSL) as Round 35 comes to a close, with the league remaining with only three rounds to completion.Kisumu All Stars will host Vihiga United at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu while Kibera Black Stars square it out with Mombasa Elite at Camp Toyoyo in the other match for the day.With Coastal Heroes’ win on Saturday, Kisumu All Stars dropped to 16th on the log but they will have a chance to go up to14th depending on the magnitude of their win against Vihiga, if they win.

On the other side, Vihiga United are looking to break into the top ten with a win in Kisumu, going past SS Assad who held league leaders APS Bomet on Sunday in Kilifi.The withdrawal of Dandora Love from the league, and the subsequent confirmation on relegation, was a big blow to Kibera Black Stars who lost three points they had collected form the side in the second league.Their form recently, capped with those three points, has seen them drop down the pecking order and fade off from the promotion limelight as they host Mombasa Elite.

On their part, Mombasa Elite have stuttered recently and are yet to win back-to-back matches since April but sit above their opponent on Sunday with a one-point advantage.
