Gor Mahia’s interim coach Michael Nam says that the team will remain coy with their preseason preparations, more so on friendly matches as they are not sure when the next season begins.The tactician revealed that although the team will start their training next week, they will be cautious on the friendly matches they play so as to avoid tiring the players before the season begins.Gor Mahia name interim coach after Spier exitIt is uncertain when the 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season will kick off although reports were that the new season would be ushered in towards the end of August.”We have planned to start preseason next week from Monday 18th. We still have some doubts on when the league is really kicking off because we do not have a specific date yet. We have to be coy a little bit. If we know the exact date, then we will know when exactly to have the friendly matches so that the players do not get exhausted before the real time,” Nam is quoted as saying by Picture Africa TV. The former Harambee Stars technical director was in charge of the team for five months and with his six-month deal expiring the club has decided not to offer him a long-term deal.He served as Spier’s assistant coach and previously coached FKFL side FC Talanta, Agro Chemicals and has also had successful coaching stints in Uganda and South Sudan.
