Gor are coming to regain the title – Rachier warns

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has fired a warning shot to teams contending for the title in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League emphasizing that the record Kenyan champions will be coming back to lift the title when the new 2022/2023 season kicks off.The long serving club chairman made the bold remark on the back of the team getting a massive three-year 70 million sponsorship deal that is expected to offset the financial challenges faced by the club that Rachier says has been playing a huge part in the team’s performance.Transition Committee set August 27th for start to next FKF Premier League seasonFor the first time in ten years, the 19-time Kenyan champions went two seasons in a row without lifting the league title as they deviated from their norm that has seen them lift a trophy at least once in every season since 2013, finishing 8th and 3rd in the last two seasons respectively.Following the unveiling of the 70 million sponsorship, Rachier promised the club’s fans of better days as he passed the warning message to teams come next season.“We have had challenges in financing since the coronavirus pandemic hit the country. Our previous sponsorship deal was slashed and we found ourselves being reported to FIFA for not being able to pay salaries to our players and coaches. We delayed in paying salaries even after the players took cuts.🟢 | KNOW YOUR LEGENDSJacques Tuyisenge🗓 | Seasons: 4️⃣ (2016-2019)🏆 | Honours: 3️⃣ League titles⚽️ | Goals: 6️⃣4️⃣➡️Top scoring foreign player for Gor Mahia.➡️Second to only Peter Dawo for goals in continental competitions. #Sirkal pic.twitter.com/kMMQHpgcm7— GOR MAHIA FC (@OfficialGMFC) July 14, 2022 With this new sponsorship, all our problems will now be a thing of the past.
