APS Bomet assistant coach Darshan Lubembe has assured the players who fought tooth and nail for the automatic promotion to top flight football of being retained and accorded respect they deserve.Lubembe’s assurance comes hardly a day after the club earned promotion to the top league with two matches to spare following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mara Sugar on Wednesday at Bomet Stadium.APS Bomet promoted to the FKF Premier League for the first time ever. #FKFPL pic.twitter.com/05TovAK3qK— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) July 13, 2022 There have been a common trend in the past years of newly-promoted teams make nearly wholesome changes in order to navigate the murky top flight waters. However, Lubembe who has been deputizing Charles Odera says they will do business the different way by retaining the 26 players who promoted the team and will make few and necessary additions.”We will not go all the place signing players just because we have been promoted. It is true there are areas that need strengthening in the team but it does not mean we will chase away players so as to create room for new ones. We respect the players at our disposal and we assure them that we will continue treating them right, ” he said.Lubembe in the meantime thanked the club’s sponsor for the financial support afforded throughout the season, that he noted played a massive role to their promotion.Immigration boss replaces Musalia Mudavadi as AFC Leopards patronNPS TEAMS SET TO DOMINATE FOOTBALL WITH APS BOMET TAUNTED TO JOIN THE ELITE KENYA PREMIER LEAGUE. pic.twitter.com/bNC8H9BuRw— National Police Service-Kenya (@NPSOfficial_KE) July 13, 2022 He also lauded the home fans for rallying behind the team and called on them to back the team in the remaining two rounds against Muhoroni Youth and Murang’a Seal respectively.”My gratitude goes to our sponsor, the Kenya Police Service for bankrolling us throughout the season.
