AFC Leopards have made additions to the National Executive Committee in an attempt to align with the two-thirds gender rule, co-opting two committee members to join the three elected in June.Caroline Nasimiyu and Diana Obbayi, affiliated to the Kiambiu Salem and Bunyore branches respectively, have been added to the NEC in line with article 8.2 of the club’s constitution.AFC Leopards new office has its work cut outThe club’s constitution allows for two members to be co-opted to meet the gender rule, and with all the officials elected last month posing an aspect of gender inequality, the club went ahead to activate the clause.”Walusaga Caroline Nasimiyu a Human Resource & Administration Manager from Kiambiu Salem branch and Diana Kusa Obbayi a Medical Business Development Manager from Bunyore Branch have been co-opted to the AFC Leopards National Executive Committee.This is in-line with article 8.2 in the club’s constitution that states;The National Executive Committee shall at all times be subject to the 1/3rd gender rule and in case the gender rule is not met, then the National Executive Committee shall co-opt two other members to attain the above threshold,” the club wrote.Shikanda reelected AFC Leopards chairman after trouncing NamaiWith the new additions, Leopards National Executive Committee will comprise of five members with Dan Shikanda steering it as the chairman, Gilbert Andugu as the Secretary General, Oliver Napali as the treasurer, and the two new additions serving as committee members.
