Tusker FC’s Tanzanian defender Kalos Kirenge has become the second player to ditch the club after Christopher Oruchum who on Sunday left for Namungo of Tanzania.Oruchum, who has been with the Brewers for the last two seasons on Sunday bid the Brewers goodbye and flew to Tanzania where he will sign for Namungo. He is set to ink a two-year contract with the Southern Killers.Kirenge has now followed the former AFC Leopards man out of the club leaving the Brewers short of two experienced central defenders and it means coach Robert Matano will be in the market to beef up that area ahead of the new season. With the Brewers heading to week three of pre-season, the player is yet to resume training as he made it clear to the club that he is moving to the Tanzanian Premier League newbies.📽️| The moment Brian Bwire and Kalos Kirenge won the Super Cup for us.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/BipL1zgqRF— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) September 22, 2021 “Kirenge has left the team. He has a deal in place with Singida Big Stars and it is just a matter of time before he joins them. Right now he is in talks with the club over the termination of the remainder of his one-year contract after which he will be unveiled in Tanzania,” the source told Mozzart Sport. The central defender joined Tusker last September and was initially a starter. He featured early in the season but injuries saw him drop out of the starting team and when Charles Momanyi and Oruchum formed a formidable partnership at the heart of Tusker’s defence, it became difficult for Tanzanian international to get a place in the team and he had to settle for a place on the bench.Kariobangi Sharks’ Tom Teka is among the players that could join the Brewers. The central defender has been training with the Brewers for the last two weeks with the aim of inking a deal with the club.
