Kenyan forward Marjolen Nekesa scored a brace as her side FC Minsk saw off Dnepr Mogilev2-0 in a Belarusian Women Premier League match on Sunday to continue their rally behind leaders Dinamo-BGU on 37 points.Nekesa opened the scoring after just 26 minutes to put Minsk ahead into the break, netting again slight poast the hour mark in the second half to put the game out of reach for the opponent.Minsk were however not on their free-scoring swagger which has seen them score a record 102 goals in the 14 matches played so far, conceding just four.The Kenyan has contributed to more than 25% of the total goals in the league, scoring 29 times in the 14 appearances she has made.Nekesa has been impressive in Belarus, and has scored in all but only two of the matches that she has played in the league, missing on the scoresheet in the one-all draw against leaders Dinamo-BGU and in the 2-0 win over Zorka-BDU in May only.Minsk face off with ABFF U19 on Friday at home, a team they beat 9-0 in the first leg encounter on the road.The forward was among the Harambee Starlets players who were in the last squad that was in camp preparing for the AFCON qualifier against Uganda before the same was cut short after CAF confirmed that Kenya had withdrawn from the qualifiers.The 23-year-old was named the Most Valuable Player in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference last year and went on to appear in the All-America Third Team the same year while playing for Oklahoma Wesleyan.
