Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Dr. Patrice Motsepe has welcomed a joint hosting bid for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by Uganda and Tanzania.Motsepe made those remarks on the basis that he had been told the two countries were keen to host the continental competition in 2027, adding that he would welcome the idea.The Speaker of Parliament @AnitahAmong has confirmed Uganda’s bid to Co-host AFCON 2027 with Tanzania. As the President of CAF, I have to support all the 54 Member Associations equally and must say that I would personally not only just welcome but encourage a joint hosting bid between these two countries because it will make a huge contribution to football development in Uganda and Tanzania.
