The Independent Discplinary and Appeals Committee (IDAC) has reinstated Makolanders back into the Kenya Women Division One league after the team appealed against an FKF Caretaker Committee decision to relagate the club for failure to honor three matches. In its appeal, Makolanders argued that the Caretaker Committee failed to meet its financial obligation to Makolanders as promised and that was the main reason the team failed to honor the three matches. The Caretaker Committee to provide Ksh 250,000 per month to every Division One team and according to the evidence provided to IDAC, this did not happen and the team only received some money after its alleged relegation. Makolanders requested for the postponement of the three matches in good time but their requests fell on deaf ears despite constantly asking for the committee to avail funds as promised. ##EDITORS_CHOICE##The IDAC ruled that the Caretaker Committee failed in its obligations and subsequent relegation of Makolanders was unprocedural. It has now ordered for the club to be reinstated into the Division One League. IDAC also declined to suspend the WPL – Division One Play Offs and ordered that they will be voided if any team succeeds in an appeal and it affects the standings for Play Off places.
