Uganda Cranes name squad for CHAN qualifiers

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has named a provisional squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.The Ugandan men’s national team is set to commence preparations for the qualifiers of the biannual tournament that features players plying their trade in their respective local leagues.##NAJAVA_MECA_6520940##The Cranes will take on the winner of the first-round tie between Tanzania and Somalia in the second round of the qualifiers.The first leg will be played on Saturday 23 July at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam with the return leg scheduled for 30 May at the same venue.The aggregate winner of the first round will play Uganda Cranes in September where the winner will qualify for the 2023 CHAN that will be staged in Algeria.Vipers SC poster boy, Bobosi Byaruhanga has been included in the squad even as he continues to be linked with a move away from the Venoms.
