The Italian city of Pisa is known around the world for their unique landmark, the leaning tower that’s been attracting tourists for decades. Built some 650 years ago, the tower was never meant to be leaning, but it ended up being its best-known feature. But there is another tower emerging from Pisa, one that’s not quite that old. And it’s not leaning – at least not much.Pisa Sporting Club’s striker Lorenzo Lucca is 201 centimetres tall and has emerged as a transfer target for Ajax and Bologna. The 21-year-old is yet to play for any top-flight club, so this would be a big step up for the lad who made his name playing for Pisa in Serie B.##NAJAVA_MECA_6534682##Although Sinisa Mihajlovic, Bologna’s head coach, seemed to be the favourite to land the towering attacker, the Amsterdammers are trying to turn Lucca’s head by offering him the chance to join one of Europe’s famous clubs. And according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, they have succeeded because the youngster now prefers to go to the Dutch Eredivisie holders. While both clubs offered to initially take Lucca on a season-long loan with a preset buyout clause, Ajax have promised more money to Pisa: $12 million compared to $10 million that Bologna would be willing to pay in 12 months.🚨 – JUST IN: Ajax have placed a €11M/€12M offer for Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca. The striker was set to join Bologna but Ajax have overtaken the role of favorites to sign the player who would now like to join Ajax and play in the Champions League.
