Aguero thinks Haaland will need time to adjust to the Premier League

In a recent conversation with the Manchester based press, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was asked if he thinks new players will need time to adapt to the Premier League, to which he replied that he certainly hoped not and that they don’t look like that so far. But his former player Sergio Aguero doesn’t think so, and actually believes that Erling Haaland, of all people, will need time to adjust. And he concluded that after seeing the Norwegian striker during a Community shield loss to Liverpool 3-1.Sergio Aguero on @ErlingHaaland’s #ManCity debut: “He was too used to Germany, he thought he was alone, then [Virgil] Van Dijk arrived and said, ‘Welcome to the #PL’…” [via @Twitch/@MirrorFootball]— City Xtra (@City_Xtra) August 2, 2022 Haaland should be a massive reinforcement for the Citizens, but in that game, he didn’t show much and actually missed a sitter near the end of the game. And the former City striker also credited Reds defender for that.“He was too used to Germany. Haaland thought he was alone, then Van Dijk arrived and said “welcome to the Premier League” “ said Aguero on his Twitch channel.’Pep doesn’t see Chelsea and Arsenal as threats’And while Roy Keane, supported by Ian Wright, claimed that Pep Guardiola probably doesn’t see Arsenal or Chelsea as competition, as he sold Raheem Sterling, Jesus Navas and Oleksandr Zinchenko to Chelsea and Arsenal, Aguero doesn’t think so.“I don’t understand the sale of Sterling. There are times Manchester City make strange decisions” he said. And he knows what he is talking about, since he formed a strong partnership with the England international during his time in Manchester. Aguero played alongside Raheem Sterling for six seasons at the Etihad – 19 of his City goals were assisted by Sterling so it’s easy to understand why he is quizzed by Raheem’s departure.##NAJAVA_MECA_6542352##
