Former KCB captain Simon Abuko has become the fifth player to join last season’s FKF Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz. The winger was a free agent after parting ways with the Bankers a fortnight ago upon the expiry of his contract.Abuko rose up the ladders at KCB gradually but was however stripped of the captaincy towards the end of last season with Michael Mutinda replacing him.##NAJAVA_MECA_6548873##He trained with Tusker for a couple of days with a view of earning a deal but has now moved to Homeboyz who are strengthening as they seek to bounce from last season’s title heartache. Despite being on top of the log for the better part of the season, the team lost the title to Tusker on goal difference.“Abuko has signed his contract; he is an experienced player now who we believe will bring something to the team. Remember we lost David Okoth to Kenya Police FC and Abuko is a player who can replace him well,” a source from Abana Beingo’s camp told Mozzart Sport.Other players signed by Homeboyz include Mathare United trio of Meshack Muyonga, Alphonse Ndonye, and Eugene Wethuli. Nzoia Sugar FC hitman Levis Okello has also inked a deal with the club.
