After being defeated at home to Brighton on an opening day, the Red Devils went to Brentford and it went even worse – they were trailing four goals after only 35 minutes! Luckily for everybody, and especially for the travelling fans, the home team failed to score more, but Ronaldo and co. also failed to find the net, so the game finished 4-0 and left United at the bottom of the table for the first time since 1992.’If you thought it couldn’t get any lower, it just has’And the negative records don’t stop there. This was Manchester’s seventh consecutive away defeat. The last time they had such travel sickness was way back in 1936 when they lost 10 games – and went on to be relegated. And the shape of the squad is also a long story. Not only do they look the same, even thou they have a new coach and a whole pre-season behind them, but they are not even running anymore. United’s players covered 95.6km during the 90 minutes compared to 109.4km covered by Brentford. And coach Ten Hag still didn’t get the new players he asked for. In the words of former United defender Gary Neville: ‘If you thought it couldn’t get any lower, it just has’.Battle between Tuchel and ConteA much-heated derby match was played on Sunday, with plenty of chances, four goals and a fiery clash between the managers Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte. The stakes were high, as Tottenham didn’t win at Stamford Bridge in a league match since 1992, while Chelsea has been in ownership chaos in the last few months and didn’t have the proper off-season. The clubs are also direct rivals for the Champions League spot and the Blues were better, and led twice, before Harry Kane equalized deep into overtime.Tuchel v Conte round 2 🍿 pic.twitter.com/YwWZepUujc— 433 (@433) August 14, 2022 Both coaches were already on each other’s nerves with wild goal celebrations and when the game ended, they shook hands, but Tuchel wouldn’t let go, showing Conte that he needed to look him in the eye. The Italian got angry and all of a sudden, players, coaching stuff and security guards were separating them, while the referee showed both men the red card. The German tactician also complained about both Spurs goals, claiming they should have been nullified, while Conte didn’t want to comment on the refereeing, but admitted that Chelsea was better. Can’t wait for the next match between the teams.##NAJAVA_MECA_6563994##
