Andersen receives death threats, Klopp approves red card for Nunez

Just a day before the Liverpool – Crystal Palace match Jurgen Klopp gave an interview for Sky Sports, stating that he is amazed by the fact that there were so many critics of Darwin Nunez’s pre-season performances, even thou he just joined the club and needs a bit of time to be a 100%. But after the match, Liverpool boss had no other option but to criticize Nunez himself, since the Uruguayan got the red card in the 58th minute, after headbutting Joachim Andersen. The Dane international seemed to have provoked an angry reaction from Nunez, but still, he is not the guilty party. However that didn’t stopped angry fans sending death threats to Andersen.Joachim Andersen for the Ballon d’or 🏆 pic.twitter.com/2EfLkDXp1s— The Bucket (@TheBucket1878) August 16, 2022 Liverpool are now in a difficult situation after only two rounds of the Premier League. They have only two points and in fact, if their next opponent Manchester United somehow manages to win next week, they will surpass the Reds at the table. Nunez is now unavailable for selection for the next three games, and Liverpool are already in injury crisis up front, since Jota and Firmino are injured.”I haven’t spoken to Nunez yet, but of course I will. I came in and wanted to see the situation, I didn’t know what happened in the game. I saw Andersen on the floor and Darwin walking away, that was my picture. I asked our guys and they said red card. I saw it and yes it is a red card. It was the wrong reaction in the situation. Andersen wanted that and he got it. But Nunez made a mistake. So we will talk about that but not yet” said Klopp after the game. Reds stumble again as Palace deservedly hold on to a draw at AnfieldHis words were mirrored by Liverpool defender Virgin Van Dijk, who thinks that his new teammate will learn from his mistakes.„He has to control himself, definitely. He has to manage himself, knowing that these things can happen, especially in the Premier League. He’s got the backing from us and he knows it should not happen again and hopefully it will be that way. He was disappointed and also probably with himself. But it’s a learning curve and obviously we will always back him. Hopefully it will never happen again“ said Van Dijk.Joachim Andersen’s Instagram messages after last night are an absolute horror-show. These people astound me. Imagine writing any of that to another human being. pic.twitter.com/D2Pqbj7KK2— HLTCO (@HLTCO) August 16, 2022 And what about Andersen? The Dane has called for both the Premier League and Instagram to intervene as he received between 300 and 400 death threats after he got Nunez expelled, even thou he was the one who was headbutted.“Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night. I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop acting tough online. The whole game I sat really close to him, I annoyed him a lot and did well against him. I think that’s why he was angry with me. He headbutted me, the first one, at a cross, and I told him he shouldn’t do that. I was angry with him. Then he did it again which is, for me, is really stupid, so it’s a clear red card” said Andersen.##NAJAVA_MECA_6573121##
