Otanga leaves KCB for Algeria

2021/22 FKF Premier League top scorer Derrick Otanga has announced his departure from KCB after two seasons with the Bankers.The goal-poacher was the top scorer in the FKF Premier League last season after finding the back of the net 16 times. He beat Kenya Police’s Clifton Miheso to the golden boot on the final day of the season after bagging a brace against Bidco United, Miheso scored 15 goals.##NAJAVA_MECA_6572643##KCB were keen on retaining himbut the striker, who joined the team in 2020 from Wazito FC has opted out. Otanga has previously turned out for the now defunct Sony Sugar FC as well.He had earlier been linked with a move to Bandari but he opted against moving to Mombasa despite holding talks with the club hierarchy at the Costal town a month ago.The player has thanked the Bankers for the backing accorded to him during his two seasons with the Zedekiah Otieno-led outfit and wished the team well.“It is true that I have left KCB and I wish the team well as they prepare for next season.
