Chamberi returns to Tanzania after agreeing to deputize Baraza at Kagera

Migori Youth FC head coach Marwa Chamberi has ditched the National Super League side and moved to Tanzania where he has joined Kagera Sugar FC as an assistant coach.Marwa joined Migori in March and managed to steady what was a fast sinking ship. He moved the team from the relegation zone and at the end of the campaign, they finished in the 11th spot after amassing a total of 40 points.##NAJAVA_MECA_6580588##His move to Kagera completes his reunion with head coach Francis Baraza. The pair worked together between 2020 and 2021 at the now relegated Biashara United before the 2006 title-winning coach decided to ditch United for the millers.Patrick Odhiambo, who is currently in charge of Tanzania Prisons replaced Baraza at United and retained Chamberi as an assistant coach but when he left the club in January 2022, Chamberi had to look for a new home and he returned to Kenya to join the then languishing second-tier side. His arrival takes the number of Sony Sugar old boys at the Kagera’s technical bench to three. Baraza guided the club to a league title in 2006 while John Waw is an ex-Sony keeper, he is currently the goalkeeping coach at Kagera. Chamberi was a long-serving Sony Sugar FC striker and scored some memorable goals for the side.🎞 Magoli ya ushindi dhidi ya Kagera Sugar. #NBCPremierLeague #NguvuMoja pic.twitter.com/qGBYxsdMGe— Simba Sports Club (@SimbaSCTanzania) August 20, 2022 The team has started the season badly with back-to-back losses in the Tanzanian Premier League.
