APS Bomet FC head coach Charles Odera has admitted that his team is interested in Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper John ‘Toldo’ Otieno and hopes that will reach an agreement with the former Kisumu All-Stars keeper.Grapevine has been ripe with reports that the custodian, who joined Sharks before the start of last season was set to sign for the newbies who are rebuilding in readiness for the new season that starts on 10th September.##NAJAVA_MECA_6588060##Odera, who earlier had admitted that they are looking for a keeper with FKF Premier League experience admitted that they met the keeper for talks but are yet to reach an agreement which he hopes will be struck soon.“It is true we are interested in Toldo but I cannot say we have reached an agreement or he has joined us because a transfer is complete once a player has been released by his previous club and has signed a contract with us,” he stated.“He came here and we had initial talks, we expect to engage him further and if we reach a mutual agreement then we are going to sign him. I want a goalkeeper with some top-flight experience and I think that he perfectly fits the bill. He ticks all the boxes and we will try all we can to bring him on board”.APS Bomet promoted to the FKF Premier League for the first time ever. #FKFPL pic.twitter.com/05TovAK3qK— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) July 13, 2022 In an earlier interview, Odera revealed that they will be retaining nearly all the players that helped the team get promoted with a maximum of five players expected to join the team.”As I said, we are not going to overhaul the team. We are going to bring on board a maximum of five players. We need an experienced goalkeeper, one who has played in the premier league. We also need a fullback who can play both in the right and left positions, one central defender, one central midfielder and a striker. Once we get these players we will be good to go, ” he stated.
