FKF Premier League giants Gor Mahia have been directed by FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber to pay their former goalkeeper Adama Keita a total of 1,011,750 plus interest accrued over breach of contract.The Malian goalkeeper earlier this year reported the club to the world football governing body for failing to pay his salary and bonuses as captured in the contract. He was subsequently frozen out of the team and last month, he was shown the door alongside Congolese striker Yangayay Sando Sando who reports indicate he could be heading to FIFA as well.##NAJAVA_MECA_6588045##Keita, a veteran goalkeeper joined Gor Mahia in August 2021 on a two-year deal. He made a handful of appearances for the club before he was frozen out.This is not the first time Gor Mahia are finding themselves in FIFA’s wrong books. The claim of the Claimant, Adama Keita, is partially accepted.2. The Respondent, Gor Mahia FC, has to pay to the Claimant, the following amounts:a) USD 250 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 January 2022 until the date of effective payment;b) USD 1,600 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 February 2022 until the date of effective payment;c) USD 1,600 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 March 2022 until the date of effective payment;d) USD 1,600 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 April 2022 until the date of effective payment;e) USD 1,600 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 May 2022 until the date of effective payment;f) USD 1,600 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 1 June 2022 until the date of effective payment;g) KES 30,000 as outstanding bonuses plus 5% interest p.a. as from 24 May 2022 until the date of effective payment.3. Any further claims of the Claimant are rejected.4. A reprimand is imposed on the Respondent.5. The sanctions include another transfer embargo.Pursuant to art. 24 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, if full payment (including all applicable interest) is not made within 45 days of notification of this decision, the following consequences shall apply:1. The Respondent shall be banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, up until the due amount is paid.
