AFC Leopards fans are a relieved lot after coach Patrick Aussems confirmed that he is flying back to the country to take charge of the team’s pre-season with just over a fortnight left before the 202/22 season commences.Aussems left the country two weeks before the end of the 2021/22 season and flew abroad for holiday. Last month, reports linked him with a move away from the den after he was pictured with Kiyovu SC chairman, reports that he later dismissed. Media reports in Tanzania indicated that he was going to join the Rwandese.##NAJAVA_MECA_20257##Ingwe then moved to quell the rumors clarifying that the tactician would jet into the country after the August polls. The club had also addressed some of the issues that the Belgian tactician had raised in a bid to convince him to keep his job.The tactician has now taken to social media to announce his return to the den. He posted his passport and packed bags with a caption that he is on his way back to the Kenya capital.“Nairobi, I am coming … I can’t wait to be on the field, to work with my players and to see you, #INGWE fans, supporting us,” he tweeted.Leopards, who are currently serving a transfer ban have been busy tying down their current players to new deals. All the players that were part of the squad last season will remain at the den. The only player whose future remains uncertain is John Makwata who was on loan at the club from Kenya Police FC.The club recently landed a sponsor as well, meaning the salary arrears issue will be a thing of the past from next season.Coach Aussems missing in action as AFC Leopards commence pre-season training
