Elix Otieno has vowed to use the experienced gained from the loan stint he had with Vihiga Bullets last season to fight for the starting role at Kakamega Homeboyz .Homeboyz loaned out the fast-rising custodian to Bullets in January in order for him to gain more exposure considering that it was his debut season at the top level.Otieno joined Homeboyz in September last year from National Super League side Shabana but the competition from the experienced custodians at the club saw him return to Bullets for a second spell.##NAJAVA_MECA_6588320##He was part of the Bullets team that was promoted to the Super League in July 2019 under the tutelage of the evergreen tactician, Edward Manoah. The move to Bullets afforded me the opportunity to learn and gain confidence as well as shaped me to a better goalkeeper. I acknowledge that I will be facing competition from strong goalkeepers but I am ready to prove to the technical bench that I am ripe for first team duties,” he said.Kakamega Homeboyz lure defensive stalwart John Otieno back for a second spellThe decision by Homeboyz to recall him comes hardly two weeks after David Juma who served as the club’s skipper announced retirement from active football.Juma has since transitioned into coaching as he has been confirmed as the goalkeepers’ trainer.
