Kakamega Homeboyz have reunited with their former centre back John Otieno after the latter agreed to rejoin the club for a second spell and subsequently, penned a three-year deal.Otieno left Homeboyz last year for the Nakuru based GDC FC but according to Homeboyz team manager Boniface Imbenzi, the stocky defender has rejoined the club after impressing in training.##NAJAVA_MECA_6588060##The youthful defender first joined Homeboyz in 2019 but left last year for GDC in search for more playing time and an avenue to rediscover his form having grappled with recurring injuries.Otieno broke to the limelight in November 2018 when Kariobangi Sharks signed him from Nakuru All Stars on a four-year long deal following his stellar show in the second tier.He however, did not last long with the 2018 Cup winners as he joined Homeboyz the following year. He made his national U20 team debut the same year as he was part of the squad that featured in the CECAFA tournament.”Otieno has signed a three-year long deal with us. We are happy to have him in the team again. He certainly returns a better player than he left,” he said.The return of the national U23 team trialist means that Homeboyz have now five central defenders at their disposal.
