Wazito striker decamps to Posta Rangers

FKF Premier League Posta Rangers have completed their third off-season signing by acquiring the services of Wazito FC striker Michael Owino for an undisclosed period of time.Owino joins Daniel Otieno and Brandon Obiero as the new faces at the Mail-men who recently appointed John Kamau as their new coach. Kamau replaces stand-in coach Collins Omondi at the club.The striker, who formerly was in the books of Bidco United and Kisumu All-Stars is credited for keeping Wazito in the league as his goal against Murang’a Seal in the FKF-PL/NSL playoffs a fortnight ago helped Wazito retain its top flight status on away goal rule after a 4-4 aggregate in the two legs.##NAJAVA_MECA_6596647##The soft-spoken attacker has been in Wazito’s books for the last two seasons. He joined the team in 2020 from Kisumu All-Stars and was the first-choice striker for both coach Francis Kimanzi and Fred Ambani and he joins fellow striker Eric Otieno out of the club, the lanky striker has joined Tusker FC.The striker has now opted to leave the club for the Mail-men. This has been confirmed by Posta chairman John Tonui who also disclosed that they are in talks with more targets and that they are set to conclude their transfer business by next week.“I can confirm that we have signed Owino from Wazito. He is an experienced striker and we believe that he will bring that much-needed threat upfront. We are engaging our other targets and by Tuesday next week, we will be done with our transfer business,” Tonui said.Owino joins the exodus that is being witnessed at Wazito FC with the future of the team unclear after it pulled out of the FKF Premier League citing the ongoing wrangles in Kenyan football.
