Ugandan international ditches Gor Mahia for greener pastures in Congo

Dimunitive Ugandan left back Fred Nkata has ditched record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia for a playing career in the Republic of Congo where he has completed a move to multiple champions Otoho d’Oyo.In an unveiling post on their official social media channels, Otoho, who have won their local league title for the past five consecutive seasons, announced the signing of the Ugandan international whom they hope will bolster their defensive ranks.“Welcome Fred Nkata. Ugandan left-back Fred NKATA is a new Otohô player. Former Gor Mahia player, Fred comes to strengthen the defensive sector of the blue and yellow,” the club posted without revealing details of the contract.In the 2021/2022 campaign, Otoho d’Oyo were the team responsible for denying Gor Mahia a chance of making it to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
