Aquino bags MVP award as CAF Women’s CL qualifiers come to a close

After guiding Simba to their first ever CAF Women Champions League, Kenyan midfielder Corazon Aquino was named the Most Valuable Players (MVP) at the CECAFA Region qualifying tournament that came to a close on Saturday evening at the Azam Sports Complex in Chamazi.Aquino, who completed a move to the club in June from Gaspo scored the all-important goal of the game against She Corporates of Uganda in the final. She converted from the spot to ensure that Simba qualified for the second edition of the women’s champions’ league that will be staged in Morocco between October and November 2022.
