Bidco United are progressing well with their preparations and will be ready for the new season, coach Anthony Akhulia says. After last season’s struggles where the team finished in the 15th position, the Thika-based side want to commence the new season strongly in order to avoid another scenario where they will be battling to remain in the top tier.##NAJAVA_MECA_6606278##The team has intensified preparation at their Thika backyard through training and playing a number of buildup matches and the youthful tactician says they are in a good place in terms of preparedness but acknowledges that there are a few grey areas to be addressed before the new season kicks off on 10th September.“We have played a couple of friendly games so far and I can say we are progressing well both in terms of fitness and preparedness for the new season. We still have over a week to go and we will keep sharpening the team so that we are ready when the new season commences,” he said. The team has also been busy in the offseason. Michael Bodo, Tsuma Said, Ezekiel Okare, Benson Iregi, Francis Kamau, Marvin Nderitu, Thomas Wainaina , John Owira, Randy Bakari, and Samuel Ndung’u are the players acquired by Akhulia and he is impressed by how fast some of them have settled into the team. “Some have settled in fast and are doing really well. I do not want to mention names at this point but a good number of them have adapted well to our style of play and I am impressed. There are those who need more time and those are the ones that we are closely working with so that they are at par with the rest as we head to the new season,” he added.Bidco United start the season with a home match against Nzoia Sugar FC.Omanyala to line up in Switzerland in first race after historic Commonwealth Gold
