Nairobi City Stars defensive midfielder Ronney Kola is raring to go ahead of the new Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season after shaking off a lengthy injury.Kola picked up a knee injury while turning out for the now-defunct Nairobi Stima in the 2020/21 season where he was on loan, an injury that saw him sidelined for the entire 2021/2022 campaign.With a massive exodus at the club recently, including that of the side’s key defensive option in midfield -Sven Yidah-, Kola is primed to be among the go-to players for the upcoming season.WE NOW HAVE RONNEY! An injury kept me out the whole of last season but I am happy that with continued rehab I am now back on the field. I want to make full use of pre-season to be at par with the rest of my teammates. I am looking forward to my premier league debut and fighting for a place in the squad in the upcoming season. I feel good about myself now and confident about everything.
