The FKF Transition Committee has announced that the off-season top tier transfer window will close on 7th of September and not 31st August as earlier announced. The window, according to the government-imposed committee has been open since the 2021/22 season came to a close in June and initially they had announced that it would close on the final day of August. This has been extended by a further one week and clubs now have more time to sanction more signings.##NAJAVA_MECA_6606544##In a letter signed by the committee’s head of secretariat Linda Oguttu, clubs have been warned that there will be no further extension.“Reference is made to our communication dated 28th July 2022 regarding the Kenya Premier League 2022/2023 season and in particular the registration of players for the upcoming season,” read the letter in part.“The FKF Transition Committee wishes to notify all FKF PL clubs that the registration period for the 2022/23 season has been extended by a week. The window initially slated to close on 31st August 2022 shall now close on 7th September 2022. Clubs are advised to ensure that they complete all their registration before the mentioned deadline as there shall be no further extensions,”.The FKF Premier League transfer window closes tomorrow.Teams have been busy signing players but there is a problem because they cannot register them through FIFA connect as the FKF Transition Committee does not have access to the system.Kalongolongo mingi.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/cLBqjHwYdT— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) August 30, 2022 With the FIFA connect system out of the caretaker committee’s access, clubs will have to register players manually or send them to the committee through email.“The physical registration forms should either be delivered at Nyayo Stadium or send via mail to Michael Kirwa (michaelkirwa@fkftransitioncommittee.co.ke) on or before the mentioned deadline,”.There has been a tussle between the committee and the FKF Management Committee over the running of the league after the later, a body composed of FKF Branches officials insisted that the transition committee will have to handover to them as they have ‘run down’ football during their tenure that started in November.
